Living in the same dwelling were 2 boarders that are listed as
locomotive tenders. No listing of Abel is in this
census.Living also at this residence is Phebe Haines. age 30 also
born in Pennsylvania. This could be the mother. |

Michigan. In 1918 according to Clarence's draft registration
the couple lived at 644 Cordelia St SW, Grand Rapids, MI. At this
time he was working at the Wallace Furniture Co. as a trimmer.
Clarence was of medium height, slender and light blue eyes.

In the 1900
Michigan Census it is found that Mary and Ava were living with
Mary's brother Clayton D. Terrell in Byron Twp.,
Kent, Michigan. Clayton is listed as a farmer.
In
the 1910 Michigan Census we see Mary and Clarence
married with newborn son William and Ava living with
the family also. In 1910 the family lived in Ottawa
County Crockery Twp. where Clarence was a
cabinet maker.

Ward 7 in the City of Joliet, IL. Son Irving must be living next
door as his census information is following William's information.. |

1900 Illinois census we see
William Irving as the head of the household with son Irving, and
Irving's wife
Bessie, William's son Clarence and Libbie
E. (Irving's daughter Emma) living in Joliet Twp., Will County.
Clarence is shown as a day laborer, William as a carpenter and Irving
as a book keeper.

the 1910 Michigan census spelling is McOwan and Clarence is
living in Crockery Twp., (OTTAWA) Michigan working as a cabinet
maker with a newborn son William. Clarence's
step-daughter Ava McLenithan is living with them. |

In
1920 we find Clarence, Marie, William, Marion Kathryn/
Katheleen and Hazel Terrell (niece), living on Cordelia St. in
Grand Rapids. Clarence is working as a trimmer in a furniture
factory. |

In the
1930 census Clarence is deceased and Mary/Marie owns
a home in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Cordelia St., but is not employed.
Spelling is MacOwan.

at age 43. (July 16, 2003) Larry must have been married because his

Larry MacOwan (age 43)
lived alone in his unit on Dahlia St. in Crockery Park, off State Rd. west
of 130th Ave. He died, likely from toxic smoke, in the fire that destroyed
his trailer around 4 a.m. yesterday. Neighbors pounded on window and door
to warn him, but never got a response.
